Those of you who discovered GRIM17 his first release on Lights And Lines, Digital Throw Up Part's 1 + 2, will be familiar with the darker, electronic, sometimes confusing and often beautiful side to his music. And lets be honest there's nothing not to love there!

However, fans familiar with the back catalogue will know that there are many sides to GRIM17 - he is far from 1 dimensional. With Bitter Shine we are served up a guitar driven alternative track with a post-rock feel. There's even a guitar solo, but not as you might expect!

Fear not though, we aren't ripping up the rule book completely. GRIM17's trademark touches are all over this with a glitchy industrial drum beat, a poetic sadness in the lyrics, and multi-layered vocals that showcase his incredible range.

As part of the release ran a remix competition for this awesome track where we asked independent musicians everywhere to make either a #BitterGrimRemix or a #ShineGrimRemix. Each entry has been added as a B-Side to GRIM17's Bitter Shine for you to enjoy!

Congratulations to Andrew Hartshorn (Beyond The Fringe) and A Sea Warren, who were both chosen by GRIM17 as winners of our remix competition. You both get a subscription to the label and some other cool stuff!

There's no real reason behind the order of the B-Sides here by the way... other than it sounded pretty good.
